Default Best places to Holiday on the NSW coast

Planning a road trip with our campervan and DH suggested heading up to Noosa via the coast (we have done the south coast already). I never traveled much as a kid and DH didn't grow up in Australia so I don't know a lot of areas. So after your 'must stop and visit here' places.
After places the whole family can enjoy because we will be taking our three kids with us.

Oh geez- so many to choose from it's hard to know where to start!

What time frame are you looking at, and what time of year? Starting from where?

Love Lennox Heads, Hastings point and Pottsville. If you have younger kids, Pottsville South Tourist Park is right on a little inlet perfect for swimming at the beach without big waves.

Ballina is beautiful and would be on your way! You can do Ballina/Byron Bay in one go that way 😊

Noosa is a grey location for families so glad you're heading there! The beach is calm and great for swimming, the shops and cafés and restaurants all welcome kids and are happy to have them, and it's all in one Main Street so easy to get around etc

A nice place for a stop off is Harrington Big 4- fun for the kids and a nice place to walk around and relax for a day or so. Harrington pub has a great bistro. We stayed there last Xmas to break up the drive to Coffs. Harrington is a v small town.

We're planning on heading end of the year...possibly mid Nov and heading for 3-4 weeks.

I have been stalked on forums before so I'm very wary of saying my exact whereabouts but we're a bit further North than Sydney...and can take day trips to Nelson Bay so we'd probably look at starting at Port Macquarie or there abouts.
