Default 5 Days of Positive Ovulation Tests

    Hi😊 (sorry for long post)
My husband & I have been TTC bub #2 for the past 7 months with a chemical 2 months ago. I generally ovulate late (after CD 20) & have a short luteal phase which was worrying me so this past cycle I've been on Vitex & Vitamin B6. Anyhow I got a positive ovulation test on CD17 which I was very happy about but it's been positive for the past 5 days! My cycles have been irregular since my chemical so I'm not sure when my period is due...maybe in a week? Has anyone had this happen? I did a HPT this morning & BFN but it would be much too early. Thanks😊

I ovulated really early last time I got pregnant and took opk's for 6 days all with positive results.
Apparently the opk's picked up my early pregnancy hormones before my hpt.
Good luck, fx it's the same for you!

I never got the hang of OPKs and had about 4 days of positives, so we just DTD one all of those days. It was the month we fell pregnant though!

    Good luck xx

You're not really supposed to use FMU with ovulation tests, you should test in the afternoon. I usually test as soon as I get home from work at 6pm.

Are you sure they're all definitely positive? They're not getting slightly darker each day? Some months I get the "fade in" effect where it looks almost positive but just gets slightly darker each day until the real positive (sometimes that can take a week).

The only other thing I know of that can cause lots of positives during the month is having PCOS. (or pregnancy as PP said I guess!)

Ok thanks I didn't know that I will test again at 6pm...they are definitely positive. The test line is darker than the control line. I've been using the clear blue digital ovulation tests as well as internet ovulation strips. The clear blue digital showed a peak 5 days ago & the ovulation strips have been positive since. Thanks again ladies😊

Well the OPK wasn't positive last night or this morning...it was very close to being as dark this morning but not as dark as it has been. I first got my peak 6 days ago now so it's too early to do a HPT...feeling very crampy this morning. Hopefully it's a good sign😄
