We have salmon at lest twice a week - I substitute it for meat a lot so do a salmon Caesar salad, salmon sausage rolls, Thai salmon fish cakes, , salmon kebabs , salmon stirfrys, steamed with ginger and shallots plus we also grill/ BBQ it with sweet chilli or garlic and lemon or a great dish for a lot of people is baked honey ginger salmon:
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1/3 cup Honey
- 1 bunch coriander
- 2 stalks lemongrass finely chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1/3 cup Soy sauce
- 1 kg salmon
Using a mortar and pestle, bash the lemongrass until fragrant. Stir in the soy sauce, coriander stalks, ginger and garlic. Place the fish in a glass dish, then spread all over with the marinade. Cover and marinate in the fridge for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 200°C and line a large tray with baking paper.
Place the salmon on the tray, then brush with the honey. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until the fish is just cooked
Carefully transfer the fish to a board or serving platter, sprinkle with spring onion and coriander leaves and a squeeze of lime juice
Where do you guys buy your Salmon from?
OMG 😯 yum Elijahs mum
Can you tell me how to do a ceaser with it? Do you make the dressing? Do you still put bacon and shaved parm? Does it go well together? Hmm it's very different
Is salmon suppose to smell horrid raw? Is that a sign of not so fresh?
I make this yogurt/mayo dressing with coriander, mint and squeeze of lemon. It goes really nice with crispy skinned salmon.
