So bloody sad. That man has been making me laugh and cry since I was a child.

I find it so tragic that a man who brought so much happiness to so many people, couldn't find a reason to live.

    RIP Robin Williams

Absolutely devastating. My heart breaks for Robin and his family. I've definitely shed a tear or two for him today. Just so sad and such a terrible loss. He was a great man.

I woke up to this news and am vey sad. First celebrity death that has affected me for a while. I grew up watching him as Mork and all the movies beyond. Such a great loss of talent for the world, and I feel for his family. So sad he couldn't fight on another day

    Just tragic

My year 9s are dancing to 'Friend Like Me' from Aladdin for their eisteddfod routine this year. I may shed a tear when they rehearse tomorrow.

Every time I watch a Robin Williams film I often wonder what deep dark secret he is hiding. I have an overwhelming feeling that something very dark happened to him in his childhood and the laughter was to cover up his scars. This is pure speculation and I have no idea but I just have this sense that there is more to it.

I read he was an overweight child with no friends and made up voices to amuse himself, dont know how true that is. I also read he suffered with alcoholism and substance abuse earlier in his career.
He always had a very vulnerable sense about him, no matter what role he was in. I think that is part of his appeal, he seemed so real.
