Default Best Brisbane state high schools

Hi, I've been asking about starting prep in QLD, and I've got this sorted . Now I need to ask about high schools! We'll be moving to Brisbane by the end of the year and we've based our suburb choices on the quality of the state schools servicing the areas. Serious contenders are, Bardon and Ashgrove. We also love Bulimba/Hawthorne area, but we've no idea how the state high schools stack up in these areas? High school is 4 years away for our eldest, but this is an important consideration. Any advice would be appreciated!

It depends if you want to go private or public... however the public schools in Ashgrove/Bardon are exceptional from what I've heard so any of them would be fine.

Cleveland H.S it's on the Bayside of Brisbane you need to be in the catchment to get in, it's an excellent state school. Good luck

Does anyone know the catchment area for Kelvin Grove State College - for years 8-12 (I know there are two catchments, one for p-7 and 8-12)? Or does anyone have children who have followed on to KGSC for high school from any of the following primary schools; Rainsworth SS, Ithaca SS or Ashgrove SS? Thanks.

We were zoned when I started high school in 1992 that was NSW though.

We moved and bought our house in Brisbane to be in catchment for our high school. I am putting DD on the waiting list for a high school one catchment over (just in case). I do have reservations about this one though for the reason that it has no uniform

Good luck choosing a high school!
