    Terrible.
Sorry but an apology does not cut it when someone says:

but I think without a "valid" reason (ie: threat to life to do so) it is irresponsible, selfish and goes against community expectations.

You could easily say the same about a formula feeder vs a breastfeeder, and then say oops sorry, just my opinion.....

I'm over it. What gives her the right to decide what is a valid reason for anyone else?

My post had nothing to do with her having had a sick bub btw, I'd never wish that on anyone.

I started reading this thread because I am genuinely curious, I see it as an opportunity to learn, not to feel self righteous as I am pro vax.

Please be kind, I am so interested in other people's beliefs.

I honestly don't think the thread has turned into a non-vaxxers bashing thread.

The difference between this and formula is that your feeding choices for your baby doesn't affect anyone else, whereas those who are unable to be vaccinated due to age or medical reasons rely on the herd immunity of the community to protect them. So making the choice to vaccinate or not to vaccinate does affect other people.
Other parenting choices do have an impact on the community! And I do believe MM is talking about every bloody non vaccinating thread thats created on bubhub.

Well some people most certainly do believe that ff impacts childrens health adversely, and the health of the world as a whole and the costs of our health systems, so there could possibly be parrallels drawn there is someone wanted to to go there....

But, as a rule, we don't. We allow the parents to make informed decisions, as the law says we can for vaxxing...

But your choice to breastfeed or not won't impact the community's health/safety whereas choosing not to vaccinate your children, may have a very serious, even deadly impact on others.

MASSIVE double standards here letting non-vax bashing happen constantly...
Oh for crying out loud if you don't like being called out for not vaccinating your kid don't read a thread in the pro-vaxx ing section! It seems like you are just trying to stir the pot!

I've sat back for MONTHS and read non-vax bashing over and over on this forum, I'm over it. The sections need to be WAY better moderated for this stuff.

Because while I am still able to make informed choices instead of following along like I once did, I will.

(Mother who circumcised one son because I was told to and blindly accepted, and vaccinated 4 kids for the same reason. Now believe in neither)

Or alternatively people just need to harden up and not go in thread sections that are so obviously not up their alley..
