Default QLD school still applies corporal punishment

    From the paper today

    Thoughts?

My first thought was how ironic a kid gets `paddled' for hitting his classmates. What is this teaching him?

I'm not a teacher but if I was I cannot imagine ever wanting to `paddle' a student.

Mmm kid hits other kids so lets hit him with a paddle to make him stop? Makes no sense to me so why a 5 year old should understand it is beyond me!
