    Default MyTax Spouse income help!

    Im trying to lodge my tax online. Its asking me to put in dh's taxable income but we havent recieved his group certificate yet. Also he was in a comission based job so we arent even sure how much he made yet! Gah! can I just put an estimate in??

    No it needs to be his actual income, you'll have to wait for his group certificate. It needs to be exact incomes to ensure you get back what you are entitled to and your incomes on both tax returns need to match up with your group certificates.

    By law you should have received your partners group certificate by July 14th. I'd be chasing that up!

    No definitely can't put an estimate. When u do ur tax it's supposed to be what's on his certificate. If it's wrong and you submit it again then ato will resend that info to Centre link and you'll get a debt possibly. You can't estimate the amount of tax he has paid too.
