    Default Rear facing car seat

I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out how to get my baby in/out of the rear facing car seat. It's the tether straps - I find it incredibly awkward getting her under or over them (7 week old) & have no idea how I will manage as she gets bigger. I am pretty short & drive an SUV so maybe that's part of my problem. What do others do? Do you undo the tether strap each time? Or are there some other tricks I don't know about? Cheers!

I would sit in the seat next to the car seat. Loosening the straps is such a good idea! Wish I had thought of it!!

Yeah I always loosened the strap every time. Would be quite awkward to get them out without loosening it.

I had no idea with my first and it was so hard to get him in and out especially because he was a big boy! I had a light bulb moment one day and realised there was a much easier way.

Love those lightbulb moments, or when you see someone else do something in a much easier way!

Cheers ladies, will give it a go. Car seats seem so complicated when you've never used them before!
