    Default Monash Ivf specialist recommendation?

    Hi all
i have read a few other posts on this topic but some were quite dated. I was wondering if anyone had some recommendations on good specialists at monash Ivf in melbourne? We have male infertility issues (Asa) and have been told Anthony Lawrence and gareth Weston so far.

Any stories or experiences would be much appreciated!

    Thanks!!

    Hi there
Highly recommend Professor Luk Rombauts. I have pcos and endo and hubby has motility issues. We got pregnant under his care 1st cycle with dd and am currently 25 weeks pregnant with our 2nd.
    Hth and good luck!

Gareth Weston is devine, I've never been his patient, but worked with him when he was an obstetrician, he's soooo lovely

I absolutely recommend Gareth Weston. He is very considerate and compassionate and treated us with respect and encouragement when we only managed to retrieve two eggs. His treatment plan worked and I now have a beautiful five week old daughter from the one egg that fertilised thanks to Gareth and his fantastic treatment. You will be very happy with him.

Assoc prof peter lutjen. He is also the medical director of monash ivf. He was fantastic. Our issue was on my husbands side too. Peter was amazing and I highly recommend him and his nurse danielle and corrine to anyone. Good luck on your journey x

Another vote for Gareth Weston here, after being with MIVF for far too long & putting up with so much from them, we changed to Monash & went to see Gareth. He gave me a less than 5% chance of getting my baby but my little boy is now 19 months old. Gareth is lovely, kind, supportive, positive, & open to trying different cycles. He has a great team working with him I can't recommend him enough, not only because I finally got my baby but I felt a lot more confident seeing him.

Lynn Burmeister! There's a long thread about her on BubHub already. She's helped a few women I know conceive via ivf (including me!). She is a very clever doctor and knows all the best things to try.

And her staff are divine. So warm, which I found very comforting because I have come across a few cranky medical receptionists in my time!

Another vote for Luk Rombauts. After failing at MIVF we got DS first go with Luk. We also saw Prof Robert McLachlan who is not and IVF specialist but MFI/androlgy expert with monash. He was able to properly diagnose my DH's rare infertility and then Luk did our IVF cycle. Garth Weston was my Ob too!

Thanks for all the recommendations everyone. There seems to be a lot of positive stories for gareth and luk. My GP hadn't heard of gareth so he recommended Anthony who is on the board but he's not available till mid sep.
