@misti good luck for your scan

Afm I'm going public and have been seeing the hospital and my gp for some reason and the hospital sent me for a growth scan at 31 weeks, no idea why and said I could have another one around 36 if I want. I see a different dr everytime I go to the hospital and the one yesterday was horrible! She scared me so much about having a Caesarian! Because I've had extensive abdominal surgery in the past any surgery is a risk which i know and it's why I couldn't fall pregnant naturally, due to scaring. But she just kept on saying how risky a cs would be and all the things that could go wrong. Now I'm really scared about the birth!
WOw! I'd be making a complaint about her!!! YOu already know the risks, you don't need to have someone else putting fear into you!!!!

Just had a quick chat with my boss... he's going to draft up the two offers of consultancy for work after baby... I asked him to also include the option of redundancy from the main role i am in now. He was quite happy to do that so as to look at it from $$ point for myself. Hope this works out!!!

Thanks ladies, it was really horrible! I don't have to have a cs that anyone has said I think they are just talking what if. I know they need to inform me of the risks but she just kept going on about it to the point where I feel like she was trying to get a reaction from me. I should have said something at the time but will have a chat to my gp next time I see her.
@misti glad scan went ok, fingers crossed for a few more weeks for you!

@bow ties good luck with the work stuff, hope you get some good options.

    Hi ladies,
Been reading along, lots to stay up to date with. My thoughts are with those who have already had their bubs early and I am glad to hear that so far all is progressing well.
I have a 37 week ultra sound tomorrow then see my Ob. I already know that if I don't go early on my own that I will be getting induced as my Ob leaves for a conference the day after I'm due.
Getting a little exciting and terrifying that tomorrow could be the day I find out the date eeeekkk

I braved the baby expo at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney today. I think the Peppa Pig show and the nursery rhymes on high rotation have given me an involuntary frontal lobotomy, but I got a couple of freebies and a coffee out of it!

Today is baking day for me: Apple Muffins (healthy), Vanilla Cupcakes (grandfinal bring a plate) and Rocky Road Cake (death to my healthy eating plan)

We had a very odd experience last night - I could feel JJ breathing, his chest must have been up against the outside of my belly and it was going up and down so fast! So incredible
@Shawly I can not stand Peppa Pig - she seems like a spoilt brat! The expo's are certainly an experience in itself. I now have a new found appreciation for mothers with Prams.

Great news on the scan results @misti. Hope the good growth keeps on going.

Miles is 5 weeks old today! Can't quite believe I should be 36 weeks pregnant still. He's in the high dependency unit where he's getting fattened up and learning how to feed. It's great he's in an open cot instead of the incubator, and only has an oxygen saturation monitor, no other wires! We had his first full breastfeed without a tube feed top up this morning. He gets tired still being small but he's getting there, almost 2kg- we will have a celebration when he reaches that!

Good luck everyone with due dates soon, should be some more birth announcements coming up!

@Shawly - You are game!! haha and I hate Peppa Pig too!!!
@Wishnhope - hmm yum Apple Muffins.... I occasionally get what feels like a heart beat type feeling, either right down low in the middle, or to the left side... wondered if it was "hiccups" or the like?
@Flower78 - Wow! That has gone so fast! Maybe not for you though... But such great news that he is doing so well! It is surreal to think that you have him already, and here I am at 32 weeks, past what you and @Megsarama26 made it to in your pregnancies. The thought that Duarte could be born already in a sense, just such an odd feeling. It's just amazing that they can be born so early!

can't wait for more birth announcements!!!

@Bow Ties Are Cool I get the same, feels like a rhythmic beat, I'm pretty sure it's hiccups. Baby gets them so often! @Flower78 great news about miles! He's getting stronger and stronger every day!

We went for our 38 wk check up yesterday - baby is 4/5 engaged which means baby's head has descended 1/5 into my pelvis (correct me if I'm wrong midwives!). We didn't do the sweep yesterday because dr said it wouldn't do anything with the baby not being engaged further. So we'll look at doing it next week if I've progressed. If nothing happens before the 9th, my due date, she's going to book me in for an induction that day.
