Maybe they're not measuring mine because they knew I'd had to have growth scans because of the SUA? I'm seeing the obs every 1-2 weeks so there's been plenty of chances to do it since 24 weeks. Mrs Hopeful do you know how accurate they are with growth scans?
I'm going to give it a go when I get home, thanks for the instructions bow ties.

For those of you stuggling with pelvic floor, I listened to a continence physio talk at work yesterday. She says... imagine youre in front of the queen but need to do a big fart, and at the same time you've drunk a litre of coke an hour ago, and you're trying to push the baby back in... I thought this was gold!

    That is GOLD Bao!!
@misti - that could be a reason, but I have never heard of it not being done? Though in saying that, my GP doesn't measure, it's only my midwife as she writes it on my chart each visit, along with baby's HB and my blood pressure and anything else significant.

As for finding the top of your uterus.. I have no idea! LOL I have tried feeling, but I just am not sure. Perhaps measure to where your gestation is ie if you are 32 weeks, measure 32 cm from top of your uterus.. then just feel above/below to see if you can find I guess what might feel like the top? I guess it would feel like a muscle.

It might also be different for carrying twins!!! so keep that in mind Bao.

I find if I lie flat on my back and feel about 3-4cm below my ribs I can feel the top of my uterus, kind of push in and down and you'll feel it, its quite hard and round...you might be able to feel it round the sides as well.

I don't know my measurements either but from my apt last week I know that it weighs 2kg and is measuring about 17 days ahead

I only get the uterus measurement too, last scan was 20 weeks. Are the girls getting the growth scan measurements seeing private OB's? Im only going public and assumed that was the reason I wasnt getting the extra info. Although I keep getting asked by people who have had babies recently (public and private) if they've given me an estimated birth weight yet (as my bump is extra large). Was going to ask the midwife at my 36 week appt - miwdives in the group is something they do?

I'm going Private and have only been getting measured when she scans me every appointment. She has never done my Fundal measurement. My baby girl is apparently measuring 2.5 weeks ahead.......no wonder my stomach is hurting so much

i have only even been scanned in his office, never had my fundal height done, could be a tad bit of discrepancy with amniotic fluid with the final height measurement, i have measured large since my 12 week scan but q whole 4 weeks is crazy! And he measured twice to make sure! He just said well its a big baby and I'm also concerned about my lady bits LOL I want to avoid the epidural but with a child of that size I'm not so sure! I move to town permanently in 3 weeks, going a little early because of his size! I was lucky this happened when i was in town and i could ask my doctor but whilst having a bowel movement the other morn it felt like there was a glass or something in it, i ended up bleeding everywhere and my O said its something to do with swelling around the anus and he wrote me a script for some cream which will help!
