Congratulations @Megsarama26 your twins are beautiful! How much do they weigh? They look quite a good size for gestation! Sounds like they are doing really well so far with the breathing support. It's common to get raised Crp in prem babies and infections, but really hard to see them need so many tests. It's very stressful to get that night time call, I had a similar one when Miles had a Crp of 53. They did a lumbar puncture and lots of tests and found a bacteria in his blood from an IV line that grew in the LP too so he's still on antibiotics now. I really hope they find out the cause quickly for Aiden and get it treated

Miles otherwise is still progressing weaning CPAP but with a tiny bit of oxygen when off. He's on continuous feeds instead of 2hourly to see if that helps him digest properly- until he does he needs the IV line and I would love it out to avoid more infections. He's 1.7kg now and looks so different in just three weeks!

If you want to ask anything about NICU from a fellow parent please do I'd love to help if I canxx I've found it helpful to chat to the other parents in the parents room, so you can hear from others who really understand what it's like, and also great to hear of the ones almost going home, it gives me something to look forward to!

Flower, I promise I will chat to you more about every nicu.. but it will be in a few daysa as I am so exhausted. I had 1.5hrs sleep the night I went into labour and last night I was on a ketamine infusion so was up every hour for obs, expressing every 3 (then found out I cant use that milk!) And I think in total I got <2hrs sleep.. so under 4hrs in the last 48hrs or more...
When I can keep my eyes open I will write to everyone.
    Xx

@Megsarama26 get some rest for sure! Don't feel you have to write to us all, of course we love to hear how it's going but you have to look after yourself and spend time with your babies and DH! It's very tiring and you need to rest properly to get over the c-section too. Will be thinking of you.
