I am struggling to think of how I am going to afford to feed my husband and I... let alone another 19 people everyday!!!

I was actually watching 16 and counting last night... I am just astonished that people can have this many kids! Mind you she was a nanna before the 16th kid arrived... her oldest at 18 had a little girl, and her and the boyfriend were living in the basement of the household!

Very sad to hear about Ada. Just terrible news.

But keep positive ladies. and stay well rested!!!

Feeling slightly paranoid, they're painting at work and Im stuck at the reception desk. I have the worst sense of smell and didnt realise how bad it was until I walked back in after lunch (about 5 hours of exposure) Ive have just openned the door but still have in the "you have caused your baby harm" alarm going off in my head. Surely such a short period isnt going to affect him?

@Wishnhope totally understand your anxiety there! I'm sure you'll be fine though try not to worry. Bit rough of your work not to warn you first!
I got the go ahead to do some painting in my house by my OB provided it wasn't oil based paint as the fumes aren't great.

Can I ask how many weeks maternity leave people are getting from work? I just had a talk to HR and discovered that I only get 4 weeks! And my workplace is completely female dominated it sounds ridiculous considering my friends get 12 from her workplace.

@hopeforlife... is that Paid Maternity leave from your employer?
Because by law they have to allow you 12 months actual maternity leave whether it's paid or unpaid, part annual leave or wholly maternity leave.

I don't get any paid leave from my employer, but will be telling them I am taking the whole 12 months.

Yep sorry we can take 12 months maternity leave and can extend it for a further 12 months.
The first 4 weeks are paid at regular salary and then you get whatever centre link will give you.
My friend's workplace give their employees 14 weeks at full pay!
I can't believe you get nothing wow I didn't realise that was possible. I guess I can't complain about 4 weeks then!

I work for state govt so I get 14 weeks paid leave. One of the only good things about being a govt employee! I'm going to take it at half pay to stretch out the money coming in...

I'm taking 12 mths leave without pay because I have only been in my current job for 7 mths. My boss is holding the position for me which I am soo grateful for. I will be relying on the govt parental pay only.
