Ladies, can I ask your advice? After our ivf cycle was cancelled due to very poor response to meds, we decided to do an iui instead and it worked!

But DP has had low hcg since and while it is rising within 48-72 hours the clinic keep suggesting nothing is going to come of this.

Anyway so we have been having blood tests since 10dpiui and we are now 20 days past now. We've been poas to see the line get darker and so far it has.

Today's looks like the test line is darker than the control finally, but overall it looks fainter than the 18dpo.

Do you think it's lighter? Should we expect bad news tomorrow?

    Her hcg levels have been

    10dpo - 1.8
    12dpo - 12
    14dpo - 33
    18dpo - 102

Hmm 18dpo is about equivalent with 13dp5dt on an ivf cycle so you'd probably expect to see a higher HCG level by now - but there is a great range in levels between successful pregnancies.

I don't see a noticeable difference in the lines. It's hard to say with any confidence but I'd be prepared for it to go either way at tomorrow's BT.

Good luck with it. Have you punched the numbers into the doubling calculator on betabase.info ?

@rainbow road I agree with @ScubaGal. You can also check out this site... http://www.babymed.com/is-my-hcg-blood-level-normal which I like better than Betabase (sorry @ScubaGal)

Wishing you both the best of luck

The numbers are rising within the parameters and while are below average, aren't below minimum. I guess it could go either way. It was our only chance at both of us using the same donor to conceive so we desperately want this bub to hang on.

Wishing you all the luck for a sticky bub. The numbers do seem a bit erratic, first doubling every 13, then 36 (both a great sign) but then the third beta slowed down to 60 ish so I guess what you'd want to see is a stabilisation or another speed up of the doubling rate tomorrow.

There's a third possibility that you also won't get a definitive answer one way or the other tomorrow so be prepared for that too.

Either way I don't think there is a difference in the line - it looks more like variance between tests - you'll notice your control line is a bit lighter too so I think there's just a different amount of dye on the second test.

    Good luck ✨✨✨✨

Ps my FS said to me once that sometimes a slowish starter will 'declare itself' and then be ok so that's what you're looking for I guess, a nice bump in the beta.

I don't expect any clear results tomorrow to be honest. I don't feel good about this at all but I think it's going to get dragged out for a while.

Today's test was from a new box so I assume that is why it looks fainter overall. However to me, the test line looks darker than the control line whereas at 18dpo they were about the same strength.

Yah that's my point - it's a strong line today but the test just isn't as dark if you compare the two control lines today's control isn't as dark ... Maybe I'm not making sense. Anyway I think the test looks good
