thanks for your well wishes and I am home from EPU and feeling fine. I even went out to lunch on the way home. This is my 2nd ever IVF cycle and this time we got 4 eggs. Not exactly a sexy number but for me its pretty good given my medical history it is amazing I even have a chance with IVF. So I am grateful and will be there will be some fertilization, doing ICSI & HA because of low egg numbers. Don't know if this helps to be honest but once again I will take what I can get!
@KyLiE2014 what type of doctor prescribes chocolate and lots of sex? I like it. But I thought it was best to avoid anything containing caffeine. Sex daily? not even when couples try naturally do they say to do that, every 2nd day. Sounds tiring.

I'm reading everyones updates and it breaks my heart to hear some of the things we have to go through xx thinking of you all xx

    Default IVF and exercise

wow September ladies are a fit bunch, 1.5 hours a day working out? Id be lucky to get that in a month! So my friends that are health professionals (not fertility specialists) say its not great to do a lot of exercise while TTC as you excrete hormones. This is why elite athletes rarely fall pregnant naturally while they compete. So for once my laziness may work to my advantage.

however I seem to be putting on 1 kilo a month, yikes! is this the drugs do you think or some water retention? I don't think my diet is particularly bad and heaven forbid I will actually need to start working out.

Oh im over it already and its only day 3 now. We only have to do it for five days as apparently it helps to line something and the chocolate is to get them happy hormones kicked in. I dont drink soft drink or coffee so i should be fine. DH has limited me to a line a day though as i have been known to demolish half a block quite easily.

When will your transfer be? Sorry if you have mentioned this earilier but did you make it to transfer your last cycle?

@puppystellasmum @Ladydee Is your EPU tomorrow? good luck
@KyLiE2014 last time I got 2 eggs, 1 fertilised but not suitable for transfer this time my protocol is slightly different with new clinic and FS but will wait and see if it will be 3 or 5 day transfer. Anything is good for me.

    @straycat fingers crossed for a 5dt

@Bongley really hope you get a good fertilisation rate

@babygirl7 I normally exercise 4 times a week - running, boxing and circuit classes I was just told to watch my temp. I did try and not run as I got heavier closer to egg collection as I didn't want to put pressure on my pelvic floor muscles from the big ovaries.

@Scootyboota and @jeb8303 good luck for ET on sat, hope they are sticky ones!

@KayzB and @jaybu84 hope the 2ww goes quickly.

Hope everyone else is going well

Went back to the clinic today for a repeat BT and they seem to think that it's an ectopic pregnancy? Apparently too early to scan to see anything so just monitoring symptoms and more BTs next week. This means no holiday for me, still trying to convince DH to go and take the kids but he doesn't want to leave me. I feel so guilty for ruining everyone's holiday when it's just a waiting game

@straycat thanks, good luck with your eggs fertilising tomorrow, we might be transfer buddies too. I hope I have one that makes it to day 5, my clinic doesn't transfer on the weekend, so day 3 is out. My partner took the day off and we gorged on pies from the Pie Tin in Newtown (so good) and chocolate and a cheeky beer. Luckily EPU is pretty gentle on me. I've still insisted on working from home tomorrow though.
@bubblesandsqueaks No, thats fine to ask. We had such a hard time getting preggers the first time that I've always considered us really lucky to have had my son and I've known that we might not have another. So my partner and I decided to do the same amount of cycles (4) to try for a second and then we'd call it quits. If my partner was really, really keen for a second kid I would definitely consider donor eggs but I think he just wants this to be over and done with asap.
In my family I have many cousins who have had no children and my brother and sister have a singelton each and same with my friends too. Big families don't seem to be for us. Funny as my mum was one of eleven (can you imagine!!!)

@Excited1 oh no, is there any chance that it could still be a normal pregnancy? I know one of the girls on here had dropping HCG that then picked up again.

@jeb8303 sorry to hear such devastating news, it really sucks, have you been taking anything for egg quality over the past few months? Good luck for ET

@Excited1 what an anxious time, were you planning on going away for a while? are you able to join the rest of the family in a week or so? many hugs x

Jaybu84 - Its quite relieving getting to the half way point of the tww isn't it. Sorry to hear your first day back at work didn't go wellm hope things get better.

Jeb8303 - I haven't suffered any severe pain hun but I have definitely suffered the constipation since taking the progesterone supplements and DH remembers it being mentioned as a side effect during my transfer but have to say I can't remember that myself - too much to take in. Hope it improves soon. Sorry to hear the results of your embryos hun, hoping the one at 6 cells does well for you - as they say only takes one.

Kizmetzing - I didn't feel and bloating or issues before EPU hun and I still got 15 eggs, I remember prodding myself before the op wanting to feel some sort of tenderness to show something was going on lol! hope you get good results.

Scootyboots - Great news on your embryos hun hope they continue to do so well.

Bongley - So disappointed for you hun, hopefully there is one lucky egg in that batch - good luck. Hopefully you wont need that 1 more round.

Straycat - Good news on the EPU hun, glad you got a happy result, good luck with everything.

Excited1 - Really hoping its not ectopic hun, sounds like they will be keeping a close eye on you which is good. Sorry that you can't go overseas hun, can understand your DH not wanting to leave you.

Kylie 2014 - Glad that you have been given the chance of transfer hun, really hoping it works for you after all the hard work with chocolate, sex and laughing lol!
