    Hey IBelieve,

I have lost 2 sets of twins.
    2007 - 11 weeks
    2008 - 12 weeks

    Both cause unknown.

It has been 6 years since my last cycle .. but I'm actually calm this time round ..

I'm in Brisbane and going with Life Fertility :-)

Positive thinking this time around. I think you get to the point that you have to give in and let be what ever will be ..

I can not explain how much mind has changed over the years. I can whole heartedly say I'm physically and mentally prepared this time

Hi there, I'm hoping to cycle in september. Just waiting for AF which is already 2 weeks late.

Sorry to hear of your loss @IBelieve that must have been devastating. Hope this is the one for you
@bubblesandsqueaks yes, I've done a few cycles myself but not 7 years worth. I admire your strength and hope that the donor route works for you, I've read good things. Are you going OS to do it or here in Aus?

    Hi Bongley,

It was a loooong long ride !! Contributed to my marriage ending and caused me to have a mental breakdown (and I had not even turned 26 at that point.

I filled my life with other things to keep me occupied however when I turned 30 those 'mummy feelings' came back, so I built a house, lost 20 kilos and booked myself back into my specialist to see how I had gone with everything.

I'm doing it here in Australia from American donors as donating in Australia just has a long drawn out process.
I have had friends cut contact and others give their total support

Looks like we have a little group forming here !! SEPTEMBER is going to be an awesome month

Oh man, you both have been through so much. So you are both using sperm donors right? I automatically thought egg donors, been hanging out on the over 40's thread too much, ha! I'm using my own eggs and DHs sperm but my age is working against us. About a 1 in 10 chance of it working but we'll give it a last shot or two. So to speak.

I look forward to seeing you both get those BFPs. So many strong women on this forum.........

    Hi Bubbles and Bongley
Bubbles, so sorry for your losses, like mine, both at the tragic time where you think your nearly over that first 12 week milestone .. It's awful and I too had a breakdown of sorts. I'm glad to hear you are in a better headspace, I think I'll adopt this attitude .. What will be etc.. It is otherwise so draining. It's taken me a year, even at my age to have another go.

Yes Bongley, like Bubbles, I am using donor sperm sourced from the USA. I've also got my age against me so we have that in common. I started out using a donor as I got to that single age and didn't want to leave it... Then A few months ago I met someone, but as the relationship is new, I'm still going ahead with my donor cycles and he is supportive of this. A bit Days of Our Lives I know!

I've tried to start IVF two cycles ago, but my oestrogen was too high too start, so now I'm on the pill to down regulate it. It's making me FAT!! but never mind, figure more of that to come. Fingers crossed ladies!

    Thanks for starting a group.

OMG IBelieve, you made me laugh .. I hate the pill for the same reason !! Look like I just ate a whole lasagna to myself and went straight to the hips, waist and everywhere else in between.

I have PCOS so find I have that bloated tummy look half the time anyhow.

Your welcome to take my approach. I know it's hard to drop the fear but once you do you feel much better for it

It is hard to drop the fear! But I also know I have to give it one more go.
Let it evolve naturally. (So to speak). I'm trying to be joyful at how lucky we are to have such technology. It is a shame you have lost some friends over it.

Bongley, why is your chance only 1/10? Is your AMH Low?

I'm a bit Pcos too. With the pill, My thighs have expanded into new unchartered territory, almost requiring their own post code. I'm off to find some lasagne!

@IBelieve Dr Google says thats roughly the chances of a 42yr old per IVF cycle. Still, stats don't mean a lot and it varies clinic to clinic but it helps me cope with the failed cycles. Its a numbers game to a certain extent.

Finally got the sh!ts with my period not turning up (its been 6 weeks) and called the nurses today. I'll go in for a BT tomorrow and hopefully they'll prescribe provera to bring on AF and start my long down reg next week.

    Good luck everyone.

    Morning Ladies,
    @IBelieve how was the lasagne??
@Bongley sounds like things are starting to move for you.

I have my first psychologist session today (part if the donor sperms conditions for my clinic).
I also sat down and made my 3 choices out of the donors in the clinics data base.

Have a great hump day ladies .. The working week is all down hill from here
