    Default Centrelink

I've recently stopped working and have become a SAHM for the first time in a long time.

When I resigned from work, I went and applied for Family Allowance (was entitled to it previously because we were earning too much). We still have not had it processed!! I applied on July 2nd.

We are living out of town with 4 kids and one on the way on one wage. I'm starting to panic!

How long should I wait before going into Centrelink??

Pick a time when you have at least 2 hours kid free and call them. Or next time you are in town go into their office and ask.

Yeah I think I'll go in and ask. It's not so much the money side of things, I've just had no feedback at all. I have no idea what's going on!

Definitely give them a call, however one month isn't really that long in terms of centrelink processing times But yeah, give them a ring to at least get an idea of what's happening. Good luck.

I think it's after 30 days you can be transferred through to one of the staff that process applications sorry can't remember what they called them, tell them how long it's been and your in hardship, when I called I spoke to the operator explained and they put me through as it was about 35 days the guy asked me for one of the kids dob as it was missing and processed it there and then I received pymt 2 days later, hope you get it sorted x
