OP, I had a good giggle, that definitely appeals to my funny bone and I can't wait to hear what your two Scottish friends say in response!

Alas, definitely would've been funnier if there had been a streaker but there wasn't! Basically, they both happen to live in Glasgow so I posted on their walls as if I'd seen them spectating the Games.

    First conversation:

Friend 1: The temperature has certainly dropped, this is news to me as I have not watched any of the commonwealth whatsoever

Me: Shame on you, where's your Scottish pride!

Friend 1: I find it lacking when the bloody events stop me traveling to Glasgow for retail therapy

Me: Did you want to buy some Commonwealth Games merchandise?

Friend 1: lol yeah, i wanted a t-shirt Hopefully the souvenirs are still onsale tomorrow

    Second conversation:

Friend 2: Wasn't me you saw, I've not been anywhere near the games or any of the events.

Me: Are you sure? Looked just like you! Where's your Scottish pride???

Friend 2: I feel the same as Friend 1, the travelling to Glasgow each day and having to put up with everything has put a downer on the events for me.

Sadly Friend 2 knows Friend 1 (through me, coincidentally!) and saw my post on her wall...dunno if he thought I was saying they were there together! More than likely they both figured out I was being a tool.

I had to laugh that friend Number one was annoyed she couldn't do her retail therapy!
