I am watching mindless TV and waiting up for DS to come home.

We have reached that age where his friends are driving so tonight he has gone out to the movies and dinner with a group of his mates....one of them is driving (has had his licence for a couple of months).

I wanted to drop him off and pick him up (like I have always done until now) but DH persuaded me to let him go but I am hating it. All responsible sensible boys but I am still hating it.

Honestly, I preferred the newborn stage where he kept me up here on the sofa because he lacked the sleeping gene to this....this is awful

DH is on night shift so I'm all alone at home. (DS is blessedly asleep. Huzzah!)

I had leftover KFC for dinner. I can't usually stand chips that have been reheated but I assume there are so many preservatives in KFC chips that they taste exactly the same after they've been reheated. Interesting, no?

I am now watching reruns of The West Wing.

It's a very exciting night for me.

On a side note, we're pet sitting, more specifically budgie sitting. Now, I'm not a pet person. I'm allergic to anything that sheds and I'm allergic to cleaning up the messes that everything else makes (i.e. birds, fish, rodents, etc.). And this bird? Is weird. Well, he's probably not weird for but someone who's not used to having a chirpy nuisance headbanging against a teeny mirror he's pretty weird. He mimics - it sounds like they leave talk back radio on during the day. Other times it sounds like my SIL is right here in the room with us. This bird is amazingly talented at impersonations. Seriously.

    That's my story.

That sounds terrifying. So nice your DS has good responsible friends but I can't believe how scary it'd be to loosen the reigns!!
