I ended up booking with Trafalgar . Trafalgar does do tours for families . Just go to their website and click on family experiences.

How fantastic. What tour/route are you doing?

I did a Europe tour 11 years ago (42 days - massive) but it was a great experience. I was travelling alone and I had a set time frame to work with so a tour suited me just fine. It was a great experience.

In Rome if you go, do the coloseum tour. I will forever regret not doing it.

Apparantly the Swiss Travel Museum in Lucerne is really great for kids. Chocolate ride, trains and loads of fun stuff for kids to do.
