I was disappointed what they did with Darcy. Making him a cruise gigilo? Makes him sound like he hadn't grown and changed. Which I think he had. Just seemed a bit tacky. And I want to know what went wrong with Leo. I wanted Nina to be happy

I didn't have all the feels for last night either.
But I do agree that Darcy needed to be sorted out quickly and now we can get on with the rest of the season. How crass does that sound? Talking about Darcy's death as "sorting him out"!
I want the Leo thing to at least be explained. I see she broke his heart, but what does that mean? What DOES IT MEAN?!?!?!?!
I hope they find their feet soon.
But I do wonder if it was always like this and our expectations were too high?

I can see myself losing interest quickly. To be honest they need to get rid of a lot more characters than just Darcy. So many of them have no real place in the story anymore. But I'm not thrilled she and Leo are already dead. It cheapens it as she has a kid and she wouldn't have let him in so easily.

What gets boring and starts to feel fake is when a cast is small and so all the drama keeps happening to the same people. It loses credibility.

Writing for tv is incredibly hard. It's going to be interesting whether at the end the view will be they should have left it at the end of the last season.

I was never in favour of another season and I'm skeptical it's going to improve after the first episode. It was pretty boring, same old same. Darcy has another kid - yawn. Nina left another man - yawn. Billie and Jimmy haven't changed. Yawn! Ill watch along but I think it's going to jump the shark. The last season was so neatly ended, I just can't see where they can take it now.

They should have made last season the final one.
Watching the first episode of this season felt like someone was trying to resuscitate a blow up doll. I'm over the yes-no-yes-no romantic incursions of Nina's and now there's a secret brother popping up and the cast are looking jaded.
I don't think I'll be on board for this season.

It just doesn't have that zing anymore. I don't understand why they couldn't make the story work with Nina and Leo together. If he had other obligations, they could have worked something out - have him doing a course away or something and just had him here and there through the series. Now it just seems more of the same old, same old.

I'm a huge offspring fan and I almost don't want to admit it, but...I think they're flogging a dead horse.
A big part of the show's appeal was Nina's catastrophic love life, so I get why things had to end with Leo...but there's no way they can realistically go back to how it was before she became a parent.
    I'm so disappointed

^^ I agree, but that's why I think they should have let her and Leo work. She has a child. She's not that neurotic single girl anymore. Plus, while I get that your partner dying would change you, I can't see her closing herself off like Leo said last night. She told him she was ready to jump in at the end of last season. She was full of hope. She let Patrick go and was ready to move on. So why have it not work like that? And if she does hook up with the new Dr who is like a character in a porno, then I think I will stop watching and forget it ever came back. The ending was SO perfect. Now I know why the creators (Deborah??) didn't want to have anything to do with the revival. They had so many directions to go in, and I think they've chosen the wrong one for Nina. Not sure I'm keen on the new Billie either.

I would have liked to see Leo stay and the dynamic of the step daughter developed. He hinted at Nina not letting him parent Zoe (?) last night.

I feel they're almost ignoring that she's a single mum and the kids are now an afterthought. If she has yet another fling with a doctor at work I think I'll scream.

Seriously she needs to download the tinder app and find a bonk elsewhere.

And let's not even get into what they've done to Geraldine's hair.
