    Default Apple crumble recipe

I am cooking for my nephew's 2nd birthday hoedown!

Does anyone have a good apple crumble recipe? I was going to use canned apples but would love a good crumble recipe.

I use bown sugar (1 cup), flour (1/2 cup), butter (enough to nake the mix crumbley) and oats (by sight)in my crumble mix, and the apples are just peeled, sliced thinly and placed in layers alternating with a sprinkling of castor sugar and a few whole cloves popped in (about 5-6), then the crumble on top. Bake at 180deg until apples are soft and crumble is golden.

You can stew the apples first, but I don't see the need

I use this recipe and love it as does everyone who has tried it.
I use pink lady or royal gala apples instead and half the nutmeg.
