Default "Vent" annoying parenting Facebook pages

So I follow heaps of parenting Facebook pages and I'm so over/bored with all the news feed status updates that are clearly trying to gain more followers. They are over the top marketing campaigns that are really getting to me!!
"Poll: how many children do you have?"
Umm...yawn! Who cares?! Actually, surprisingly, 45 people care!

Then there are those posts that try to get you interested in the most boring article by being super vague just so you click the link to their website.
"You won't believe which celebrity couple did THIS"

Great! Now I HAVE to click!

Then there are those articles written specifically to cause controversy so that they are inundated with "likes" and "comments". "Why I'm angry at breast feeding mums".
People we are all being fooled! Me included!

Ha ha I hate the posts which are like 'comment if your child has a unique name', and there'll be heaps of responses like 'Lewis' and 'Chad' and 'Christine'. No!!!

Those random questions annoy me as well. Normal businesses do it as well - I'm off to bunnings today, what is everyone up to this weekend? I think they do it to be 'seen' more on fb. But I dont really care what some wahm who makes bibs is doing, let me know if you have a sale or new bibs not every detail of your life!

Ahem! My son's name is totally unique, thank you very much! He's the only Lewis ever in the history of the world!

Sadly, Facebook has forced pages into this. It used to be that if you liked a page, that was it. Now if you don't interact with that page frequently enough, your like drops away.

I think I actually have more pages blocked on facebook than I actually have liked. Some of the people on my feed just repost stuff from all over the place and it's super annoying.

Block, block, block, oooh, someone's had a baby! Block, block. Birthday! Block. Random instagram picture of someone's food. Block, block, blockblockblockblockblooodyfreakingBLOCK!

I cant be bothered to answer the question 'why do you not want to see this'? Because I JUST Don't. I don't want to enter into a conversation with FB about it. I reported some thing as porn, and fb came back and said they didn't think it was p0rn and so they put it back on my page. I could have punched fb. marie

Just going to jump in and agree here. If no one interacts with our posts, no one sees our posts. Even when we do post worthwhile stuff! It's so stupid that Facebook gets to pick and choose what posts anyone sees from a page they've opted to like and follow.

I've only just liked parenting things on FB but I have already unliked a lot! They seem to post an article, then 5 hours later repost it "see this article that really fired things up!" well, it didn't, and also I saw it this morning!

I had one that always posts like this "When ARE YOU due !?!? POST below and let us KNOW" What's with all the caps that are always emphasising the wrong words!!! Argh! Unlike!

Yeah I think we might have at least one parenting page in common, moosey, because they do exactly what you've listed.

I have a fake account for pages I like. (sad )
I started it for games years ago but then used it to support friend's pages and other pages I like because otherwise my news feed gets far too clogged up with rubbish when I only want to hear from close friends and family.
    It works well for me.
I took a week off FB last week because I was so sick and tired of the rubbish people were posting about their supposed perfect lives.
But I logged in to my fake account for a bit of browsing/recipes/news etc etc
I don't have anyone I know in real life on there, it's great!
