    Default Jenny Craig-What people think?

I would like to loose abit of weight, maybe via Jenny Craig as they have a Accrediated Dietician there.

How would you manage your plans via JC, plus having a baby, ie. 4 mths old?

Tell me what you think of this program?

Would love to hear on your ideas.

    Cheers, Helen

I did JC once it was quite good.... expensive though as you have to buy your fruit, veggies, milk and bread ontop of the joining fee and food for the week.
I found lite n easy better but you don't get to speak to a dietician though.....
I am currently doing weight watchers which I am finding is great because I can cook for DH and myself and eat what I want to eat ect....

It's great and it does work, but it's expensive. As most of it is pre package food.

As Little Joy said Weight Watcher is really good too. As it you doing the cooking, so this can keep costs down. And make what you and your family like.

But sadly in the end none of these worked for me, so I now have a Lap Band. And it's the best thing I have ever done for myself

If your anything like me no diet works because you just get bored with the routine. I've done JC twice and both times I lost 6 kilos in 12 weeks. I found it very expensive - $100pw for food then theres the joining fee which varys, and I found 500gram loss a week not worth the money.

In the end I joined sure slim which cost me $700 for the program and I have now have it for life to use when ever I like. When I initially started I lost 8 kilos in 7 weeks which I was alot happier with. I found the program worth it, but I will say it's really hard in the first 4 weeks.

    Good Luck and happy dieting!

I've done Jenny Craig twice too - both times I lost about 20kg. Their philosophy is basically portion size, the meals are pretty yuck and it's expensive as everyone has said.

Once you join though, you're a lifetime member, so you only pay the joining fee once.

I think Lite'n'Easy would be better, still portion control, but they supply ALL the food, and it's not just frozen meals.

I have tried JC and weight watchers and found weight watchers to be better.

Much more cost effective as everyone has said PLUS you learn about the food u eat so its more of a lifelong thing. Rather then being handed the food and then if you stop the program u cnt continue on ur own..iykwim.

And yeah u can eat really well and what you want in your points limits. I really enjoy weight watchers and will be straight back on it after this bub pops!

on WW I lost 10kgs (which got me to my goal weight) in 8weeks on 18pts a day.

I agree with all the other girls who like weight watchers.

My mum joined with them a few years ago, and a couple of years after she did it, i decided to do it too and its something you dont have to do with them as such.

As long as you know your daily point intake and have a points book to go by, you can do it at home without paying for meetings etc.

Plus you eat whatever you want as long as you stick to your points

Other than JC, what other weight management programs are really the best of all in all, to control your weight, etc.? and to be able include your husband in the program as well, plus a 4 mths old baby

If you want an honest opinion don't do it. I done it last year lost 9 kilos and put it straight back on! It totally works but doesn't teach you a thing. For lunch you eat like little pies and pizzas and stuff. Its all calorie controlled so unless you know exactly how many calories are in each product and you can find similar on the shop shelves then go for it. Otherwise you'll put it back on. I suggest looking at lite n easy. No joining fees (unlike JC which is so expensive) and you actually eat stuff you can buy at the shops and do yourself. I lost 10kg at lite n easy and am still maintaining it and am in the process of losing another 5kgs by myself through Weight Watchers. Because of Lite n Easy I now crave fruit and have to have some everyday. No more blocks of chocolate and lolly cravings at all. Its awesome and I love every moment of it. Lite n Easy you don't need to buy a thing and it gets delivered. Unlike annoying appointments at JC and the fact you have to buy fruit, vege, milk and yoghurt as well. Works out to be expensive. But hey, you're choice. Hope all works out well for you and you lose all the weight you need.

    xx
