My 3 year old twins MUST get a box of cereal each to hold the entire time we're in the shop - if not they'll just scream the place down

I'd say it's the part when I'm shopping with children.

I found it pretty frustrating a few weeks ago when DS insisted on holding the hand soap refill while he was sitting in the trolley, then changed his mind a few minutes later and threw it on the floor.

The lid broke open and soap had spilled out, so I went straight over to let a staff member know (obviously it's a trip hazard). The staff member gave me one of these Geez, thanks DS.

My kids eat the fruit and veg. It's embarrassing cos you get to the checkout and instead of 4 zucchinis I have 2 half eaten ones left. They also pinch the fruit/veg if left in the pram/trolley too close to the produce.

    Sigh.

wifey of hubby who is always away. mother of two girls who are always amusing.

When my boys were smaller, it used to be that twin trolleys would give me nightmares. Or really, lack thereof. I used to fly into a rage when I would see people with 1 or no children utilising a twin trolley. They used to be as rare as rocking horse poop. Now I see some of the bigger supermarkets coming to their senses and making just about all their trolleys twins. Hallelujah.

Now that they're older though, it's that they walk. But they don't walk. They dance. They run. They stop in front of people. They have inappropriate conversations "did you just fart?" and worst of all, those four little words:

    Mum

    Can

    We

    Have...?

I love taking my kids food shopping with me so my most frustrating thing is they hate coming with me haha. I went alone yesterday and hated it. But it's because my anxiety plays up when I'm alone, so company keeps me relaxed

I can handle taking 2 kids shopping and using a twin trolley but it's just hit me that soon I'll have to take 3 with me and the oldest is only 4!

When I have a trolley full of groceries and ds announces he is 'busting to do a poo'. The toilets are no where near woolworths.
