    I did some work in other departments relieving occasionally though. Customer service was crappy, I like engineering and parks and gardens though.

    I havent worked in local government for years though as I left for an accounting firm as the pay wasnt great in local government.

    Good conditions, good hours, flexible and I worked with some really great people (and some really awful ones too .. but you try not to focus on those)

    I have worked in LG in Perth, it can be hard to get into if you don't have the LG experience.
    It is so much better that State Govt, which is a nightmare!

    A good way to get into LG is through temp work, I know a lot of permanent admin workers in LG who started through a temp position.

    LoGo Apps in Subiaco is Local Government only, they're pretty small I think.
    Ranstad, Integrity and Page Personnel all do LG - there might be a few others around though.
