Seriously, $10,000.00? That's better than nothing. They would have signed contracts etc and be well aware they could end up with nothing.

The 'whole' leaving their kids etc... oh I'm sorry, were you unaware you'd need to do this! It's Season 9 ffs! They've all seen the show previously!

All morning all I've seen is the 'heartbreak' for the three bottom couples. As far as I'm concerned, they're being stupidly ungrateful.
that's how I feel too & what I meant by my last post - they sign up for this, they don't have to be on the show, so you have to expect time away from family. and expect to work your butts off. and they were being paid a wage to be in their, so it's not like they were earning $0 until auction day. and then all the things they might go on to later, etc..

yes it's not fair that they walk away with different amounts but they would of been told it's unpredictable. anything after the reserve is a bonus.

I'm so disappointed for everyone. I don't feel the boys should have to give their winnings to the other couples. At the end of the day, the boys are the only couple who have to split their winnings, so technically they've only really ended up with half the money unless they plan to invest it in joint ventures in the future.

I think the biggest problem is that everyone had huge expectations after last years couples made 500-700k. Everyone went in with the expectation that they were going to walk away with hundreds of thousands of dollars. In reality, nothing is guaranteed.

Does anyone not remember josh & Jenna's year when 3/4 apartments passed in at auction? It's so unpredictable.

I never said they should have to, but if it was me (competition or not) I would struggle to walk home with 430k while my friends walked away with 10k (except for D&D). Good on them for not sharing, it is a competition and suing is so stupid. But that's what I would do. DF would take and run lol.

I like that they're going to take their builder on a holiday.

If you believe what you read on the "news" websites, the boys were actually approached to share their winnings with the bottom 3 teams. Apparently the boys and chris and Jenna had a bit of a meeting to discuss what they should all do and in the end decided that they deserved their winnings as much as anyone else would have if they'd won. If it's true I think it's poor form from the other contestants.

Don't forget they all will be paid for all the ads and magazines they have/will be doing so I'm sure they will make money and benefit anyway

Would they have gotten paid for all the Swisse commercials and stuff? I would think it would just be in their contracts.

I would suggest it's part of their contract, channel 9 would earn $$$ from sponsorship
