Agree with the price tag it won't be suburban block fans bidding.
I think Keith and his crew are good with the structural integrity of the place, but I'm more infuriated by the lack of respect for those decisions by the contestants. I get it's a competition and you want to win, but if you're told you can't do it because it's not safe, then your can't do it. Keith and the engineer aren't saying "no" because they're mean or don't want you to have an advantage.

I think the building certification comes from an independent source. Remember the fans vs faves, the twins were blasted because they didn't put a railing on their rooftop terrace after adding in a bench seat (or similar) that made it easy for people to climb. They were penalized for it. I would've very much liked to have seen their apartment not sell because of it, but it got fixed before open day/auction. Shame lol. At least they didn't win.1

@moosey the way the wedding has been portrayed is like max & Karsten asked for it but the block actually approached them about getting married on the show, and they have a small wedding now (well it was june actually) but in return they get their whole originally planned December wedding paid for too! It's all about ratings for sure!!

(I know someone who is friends with Max's sister )

Dee is nasty! But I don't expect anything less from a spoiled WAG!

Dee and Darren whinged and complained that the boys got help from Keith to hang a door and how unfair it was.... and they didnt win a room b/c they had no door- um hello... when they both went off to be with their daughter, the other teams styled the room so they had one ready for reveal... they did that b/c they wanted to help out..... Talk about double standards..... I really really really hope they dont win the Block.....

I said exactly the same thing to mum last night!! For crying out loud, Keith was teaching the boys how to do it- not buildimg their whole bloody room!! D & D are spoilt brats, and I got the feeling last night Daren pretty much stopped short of saying "do you know who I am" (referring to the fact he used to be some fancy afl player).

DH's schoolmate worked on this one and said that the quality of the build was low and rushed.

They showed Dee driving in the car with her kids and one was in the front with her. I didn't think she was old enough to be in the front and with airbags it's dangerous. I dislike Dee but now even more for disregarding the safety of her child for the sake of a TV show.

I can not believe they put a stop to the door. I really hope those two come last. They are just awful human beings.

I'm not sure about the age of the girls, but I thought it was interesting they pixelated the child in the back seat out. It looked like she was laying down on the back seat and not in any sort of booster/carseat.
