I dont know about the white person syndrome. Lots of white French people in that plane.

There just wasn't many other nationalities but the French media are all over it.

Experts think it has been shot down. The plane was in good conditions, reputable airline, and storms are just very frequent in that region and not reason enough for a plane to crash.

    It's devastating.

Glad they found it! All of these aviation accidents are freaking me out a little bit.

    Where did you read that?
I know the airline and the plane and they both have great records?

Plus a number in the 90's and 80's etc.

3 fatal crashes in 10 years isn't the worst safety record we've seen, but isn't the best.

The plane type (MD-30) is responsible for over 1300 fatalities and 61 crashes in the last 30 years.
It was not operated by Air Algeria but by Swift Air. It is a reputable European company that is used for some NATO flights. Never had an accident.

The plane had just been inspected by French DGCA (Directorate General for Civil Aviation) a few days ago in Marseille and found no faults. They follow the very strict European rules.

What are you getting at? I'm just stating the facts.

The all crew was Spanish and the plane was owned and maintained by swiftair, Spanish company...
