Default Can you get Progesterone inj in Australia?

    Hi,
Ive had all my IVF transfers overseas. They game me Proluton Depot ( progesterone ) injections to support my pregnancy.
I was wondering if anyone has had them here?
Im hoping to be able to continue them until 12 weeks but not sure if the IVF clinics have them here.
    Any comments welcome.

I've only ever had progesterone pessaries. I hate needles, but the pessaries are pretty gross. All 7 of my cycles have been with the same clinic though.

I was only offered the pessaries, hadn't heard of an injection until your post. And I agree, the pessaries are gross, pity the leaflet didn't explain the yuck stuff and the nurse who dispensed it forgot to tell me at the time. I called panicked and she apologised profusely.

    Best of luck OP.

I've used Pregnyl injections for progesterone support after a transfer. Had to take it 2 days before transfer and then every third day twice after. Much better than the pessaries!

Pregnyl is hcg though, not progesterone. I have had that during stim cycles to extend my luteal phase (as well as the pessaries), but only a few shots during the TWW.

Hi. I have always had the imi progesterone injections plus pessaries. PM me if you want all the details or I can post here if you like. My pharmacy will overnight them to you anywhere in Australia. They are not cheap at $45 per vial. I get a little over two injections per vial but I have one injection daily. Some fs will do them every second or third day.
