Default Behaviour changes after tonsils removed

One of the things the surgeon said to us was DS'd behaviour should improve after having tonsils out due to having better quality of sleep as he had sleep apnea.

We are not seeing any changes yet, his behaviour is just as hyper as it always has been.

Did your children's behaviour change after the operation? How long after surgery did it take to change?

Wondering if I need to see someone to determine if anything else is going on with him (eg ADD, ADHD) or just need to wait longer to see improvements.

How long ago did he have the surgery? If it has been a little while then perhaps see a paed to discuss it a bit further?

When DD3 had her tonsils out I noticed changes in her behavior immediately. She was really hard work, always had bags under her eyes and angry or sooky but now she is such a pleasant little thing and her sleeping has improved heaps.
