I am finally coming to terms with the fact that I need to give up milk in my tea. As I sit here sippy my black, unsweetened tea i am contemplating.....maybe I could just stay fat.

Last time around I was having soy milk in my tea but now I am not sure if I am sold on soy. First world problems abound.

I had a pretty good day today. Pancake and berries, scrambled egg, soup, protein shake (which was gross, I will only be using that one in cooking) and meatballs and veges for dinner.

Hi SPG, I found it really helpful with weight loss to cut right down on the milk I was having in tea and coffee. Another way to keep an eye on it, is to pour out 100ml of milk into a container and put that in the fridge. ( i used a baby bottle) then use only a dash in each tea or coffee. It highlighted how much milk I was having each day.

I really want to try the protein pancakes, I might look at getting some protein powder and ground almonds today.

    Today
    Bacon and eggs
    salmon and vegies
    rissoles and cauli mash

Just bought some atkins vanilla protein powder. 1 scoop (31grams) has 2.7 grams of carbs. But that is atkins stupid "net carbs" system so the real amount of carbs is likely to be higher. Might try a protein powder pancake today.

I agree, so annoying when you are counting carbs. I think it's easiest to stick with real food like meat, eggs and cheese then I know I am safe.

I think someone was asking earlier in the thread about Metamucil.

I just had a look at some Benefiber (individual sticks that you add to a drink) that I had in the cupboard and it has 0.5g carbohydrate in a sachet - might be a good option if you need a bit more fibre IYKWIM.

That was me Thank you. I'm actually going ok in that department as I'm having a dessert spoon of coconut oil in my tea each day. Seems to he working a treat.

I've had an ok day. Really need to address the fact that I am so hungry after work that I'm ready to eat my arm. Today I came home and ate a quarter of a packet macadamias. So that's dinner.

    Bacon and eggs
    Blueberries
    Cauliflower soup
    Ham and cheese
    Macadamias!

Despite having a far from perfect journey I'm really happy I haven't strayed to grains - no bread, crackers, corn thins or rye cruskits. I love these things, so am happy about that.
