    Hello all

Rainbow I hope Toby is feeling better soon. Poor little poppet.

Channy the invites are really cute. His birthday will come around so fast. How come work is getting you down? In sure you're doing an amazing job

Now I feel like chocolate mousse ;-)

So we are back from the MBU and my goodness if it weren't for the positive stories on here I would have done a bunk within 48 hours. The first day was awful and I just couldn't relax with someone else looking after my baby while I "rested". Pretty hard to rest when you hear them crying with someone trying to settle them for the better part of the day. Was pretty teary and didn't feel all that supported by the staff. Felt like an absolute basket case and so guilty for taking away my baby from her home to a place like this. It was pretty tough being in a separate room from her too, but it was the way it was set up. By day 3 things started to settle and she became easier to get to sleep. The challenge remains on her sleeping past sleep cycles but that will take time.
Turns out she hates being touched when she's tired so all the patting etc that I was trying effectively just ****ed her off!
I'm feelin a little more relaxed and calm about parenting and she seems happier which makes me happy. The overall experience seemed more sleep school like than mental health related, something I would have liked more of, but I guess that's something I can explore on my own.

Big thanks for all of your support in me doing this cxx

Rainbow I hope Toby is all better now. Poor little man HFM is awful for them.

Rebecca sounds like a very tough experience you poor thing! Hopefully it will help with your sleep issues at home. Fingers crossed!

We are doing well here just dealing with Angus doing massive projectile spews after a feed. It's scary how much comes out of that kid 😱 Trying a few different things to see if it helps.

    Hello to everyone!

Glad Toby is feeling better now, Rainbow!

Rebecca, I'm sorry you didn't have the best experience, but sounds like it was helpful in some ways. Was Audrey's room adjoined to yours or totally separate? I found it hard with just an adjoining room a few feet away as used to having her right next to me, it definitely takes getting used to. Though she did sleep better funnily enough.

Chippa, I hope some of the things you try help Angus's spewing. Does he seem upset by it or is he a 'happy chucker'?

It was a challenging experience but it came with some positive outcomes.

Bond she was totally separate which was odd. But, she seemed to be good in her own space so we have now moved her into her own room at home. Was hard at first and I still don't sleep well as I still listen out for her and check on her (though will I ever ;-)) I kind of miss her even though she is just in the next room!
