    Default Kids books on death

Hi, we have recently lost a very close family member and I was wondering if there are any good kids books on death? Finding it very hard to explain to my toddler.
I believe in heaven so anything about that would be good too. Thanks

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear about your family member. We lost our five and a half year old daughter from an asthma attack in 2012 when our little boy was 18 months old, so over the past two years, I've bought quite a few books on death. They're all in his bookcase in his room and he's asleep now, but I'll get them down tomorrow and let you know what they are. Our son often asks me to read him a "heaven book" about where his sister is.

There are some lovely books around that deal with this. Grandmas shoes, lifetimes, Sophie. A few I can think of now. Try a google search also
