The sleevers Facebook page has a lot of people who have used their super instead of savings so someone there might be able to help
@loodle, did you go to the Gold Coast? That might be a definite option. I wouldn't mind taking that amount from savings. Would you mind PMing me the surgeons details?
@HearMeRoar I might just get the details for that group but get Dh to join.

I really want to cancel PHI but obviously I would need to get this done first.

I paid for mine out of my Super. I took around 10, 000. After my surgery I went into Medicare and got about 3,000 back on rebate. I'd like to say I added it straight back to my super but there is no legal requirement to do that....so I didn't.

What State are you in Ngaiz?
@loodle and @HearMeRoar, you are both looking amazing!!! Congratulations.
He won't sign the papers for super release I have been told and only deals with phi. I know that now he is charging the $500 gap that some people have asked about super release and he still won't sign it. And thank you I am loving my sleeve and getting it was the best decision I ever made

I think that is fair enough too, $500 isn't worth the hassle in my opinion.

I thought I would update on how I am doing. I had to cancel the private health insurance I had because we just couldn't afford it, I've since lost 30kg, it has taken a long time but I'm not having trouble maintaining when I am not actively trying to lose. The photo on the left I am 119-120kg, the right I am 89-90kg, I still have a ways to go but I am feeling a lot better. Hope everyone is having successes

Thank you it's taken me a long
Time and I would still like a sleeve, still a loooong way to go to get to where I should be weight wise. I'm really struggling mentally to accept I don't look like the left anymore.

Bit late to the discussion, but as someone who had a successful sleeving back in 2014, I'd be happy to answer any q's about the whole ordeal. I managed to go from 140kg down to 70kg.. currently hovering about 90kg at 39+4, which can be a bit of a mindf*ck, but I can guarantee without my sleeve, I certainly wouldn't be at the *** end of this pregnancy! xx
