Default 18 month old, diarrhea and nappy rash

My 18 month old DD has just developed her first nappy rash. I think she's either teething or has had a reaction to her recent vaccinations because she has diarrhea and I think this is what has caused the nappy rash.

As she's never had this before I don't know what to do. I usually apply sudo cream at every nappy change, since this nappy rash started I have also tried curash powder and bepanthen but none of it is helping. I feel so bad for her, every nappy change is torture and it looks so red and raw and awful.

I'm looking for any advice please! My Mum told me to keep her nappy off but it's a bit hard because of the diarrhea.

I'm also a fan of sudocream. Put it really thick. I would stop using wipes. Only use water and cloth to clean. As much nappy free time as you can. Sometimes really nasty nappy rash can need an anti fungal cream so maybe ask at the pharmacy. I wouldn't use any powder. X

This is the worst isn't it. Oatmeal baths are very soothing. Throw a handful of oats in a stocking, tie a knot in the end so it stays in and put in in the bath until the water turns milky. Sit bubs in the water for 10min. I do it about 3 times a day. Then I use the light blue Bepanthan with sudocreme on top of that for a barrier. When changing use a soft cloth and water with some bicarb in it instead of wipes. Hugs. It's really stressful for you and bubs.

Thank you for all your replies, I will definitely give the oat bath a try. I've just been recommended another cream at the chemist, hopefully something works!
