3 "designer" dresses from my mum for my 17th. They were actually just dresses from a boutique that suited more my grandmothers age group. And they were ranging in size from 12-16. I was a size 6 at the time!!

I put them in the cupboard for a year then vinnies got a nice new pressie

A dirty broken cigarette burnt doll and stuffed cat for my 10 th birthday from my ever so loving grandma. They honestly liked like she grabbed them out if a skip bin. She was a horrid mother and not much better as a grandmother.

Not the worst but maybe the weirdest - the first birthday DH and I were together for (my 19th after 3 months of dating): I mentioned I'd had a sore back so he got me one of those Medirest pillows (good), a bottle of magnesium supplements and a tube of Voltaren. I had the pillow for years but the two other things were a bit strange. My back wasn't that bad.

It was my Birthday on the 16th I got a great pressie from DH (an oberon leather cover for my ipad), but every year DH asks me what I want, when I tell him he says "no problems, I was going to get you ... instead". What he was going to get is always better, and he won't let me change my mind lol, so every year I feel like I missed out even though I got exactly what I wanted. I'm pretty chuffed with this years pressie though

Years ago I had been hinting (for a couple of years) to ex-DB how much I loved jewellery.

He was so pleased with himself, he finally bought me jewellery for my birthday......from the $20 - $30 stall at the local shops. I was so disappointed :-(

This year, DH got me... nothing! He told me that he'd had good intentions to get me a day spa voucher and to offer to look after DS (then almost 6 months old) for the day, but had been too busy to actually follow through.

Honestly, I'd have preferred getting nothing without the explanation! (And no, the present didn't belatedly eventuate).

Not a birthday present, but a groomsman gave us mahjong as a wedding present. It still sits in it's box 8yrs later.
