DS1. Membranes ruptured at 35+6, waited for labour to start on it's own, intermittent contractions for about 10 hours then ramped up to established labour for about 6 hours.

DD1. Labour started hard and fast at 39 weeks, she was born 5.5 hours later.

DD1- spontaneous birth at 40+4, drug free.

DS1- spontaneous birth at 41+2, drug free.

Second birth was harder for me, it was shorter but far more intense. Mentally, I vacated the building. I came back half way through pushing phase. I also think it was harder because it was an overnight birth (4am he was born) and I was tired. My daughter was born at 8.30pm so I spent the daytime hours labouring.

DD1 - waters broke (SROM) at 39+6 at 11pm but was induced with drip 7 hours later. She born an hour after induction at 40 weeks exactly.

DS - SROM @ 40+6 and was born with no interventions or drugs From the time my waters broke to delivery of him was 14 hours.

DD2 - SROM @ 38+3 but had emergency c-section after arriving at hospital. I was 5cm dilated and she was transverse lie. She was born 4 hours after my waters broke. It happened very quick once in hospital and my husband didn't even make it to the birth as he was working on other side if Sydney.

DD - induced via AROM at 39+4, she was born 4 hours later
DS - SROM at 37+1, nothing happened for 8 hours, first contraction started at 11:50am and he was born at 12:30pm (so 40 min labour)

Second labour was way easier, only had 20 mins of contractions before I started pushing, had big breaks in between contractions, it just didn't really hurt.

DD - induced via gel at 40+6, 9 hrs later AROM after which contractions started immediately. Dd was born 6.5 hrs after first contraction.

First labour was 16 hours, spontaneous, drip inserted and ARM approximately 3 hours before the birth. 10 days overdue when she was born.
Second labour was 8 hours, only about 4 of those seemed like hard labour though, spontaneous again, no drip but ARM when I reached 10cms. Born at 39+5

Second time round was much easier and faster except for shoulder dystocia, it seemed to take my body a lot less work to dilate etc than it did the first time around.
