1st baby was spontaneous labour at 40+6. Established labour was 16 hours.

2nd baby was induced 37 weeks due to waters breaking. Labour was 11 hours

Both labours were just as hard. Both were posterior and stuck.

    #1 born at 38+3, #2 born at 38.

#1, waters broke at 11.30am, he was born at 7.30pm. #2, I started having irregular contractions at 8am, he was born at 11.40am. Oddly enough my waters broke at 11.30am with him as well.

Labour was easier second time around.

    1. Both first and second births were at 38+2 weeks.
    2. 2nd labour was 3.5 hrs. First labour was only 1.5hrs.

First labour was easier/less painful overall.

    DD1 - spontaneous 6 hour labour at 40 + 6, 17 minute second stage, gas and morphine.
    DD2 - induced 2 hour labour at 40 + 9, 9 minute second stage, gas only.

Pain was pretty much the same for both. DD2 was ROL/P and I felt her turn during second stage of labour.
