Ok where were we?? Oh right my friends walked in!
So my friends are a married couple... hilariously funny people who just enjoy taking the p!ss (especially when it involves me!) The moment they walked passed our table I knew my little outing wouldn't go unnoticed. As expected, when I turned and saw them standing at the counter waiting to be seated they both had cheesy grins on their faces like they'd just busted me mid shower! I waved and then tried my best to avoid eye contact as soon as my girlfriend started simulating a blow job action. Seriously!! Children!! Anyway I was crest fallen when I realised these crazy larrikins were about to be sitting at the very next table. Like I didn't feel uncomfortable enough being on my first 'first date' .... now I was shrinking in my chair, talking in whispers, trying my best to seem cool but only within earshot of Mr R.
The moment he excused himself to the toilet I felt an excited tap on my shoulder... I turned around to see the widened eyes of my friends so gleeful that they'd managed to bust me attempting this dating gig.
Thankfully they stopped hassling me upon his return and I decided to make the most of it. He'd not really eaten Indian before so I got to order our entire meal (hello lamb korma) and we had a really lovely time, talking, questioning, drinking, flirting and getting to know each other in a completely different way. Of course we picked the coldest night of Winter to mingle so we decided to forgo another venue and instead grabbed a few reds for the road and cosied up back at my place..... (will continue after putting the boys to bed)
