    Default Quit Smoking Support Section

    Hi everyone

We realise that its really hard to quit smoking - so have created a special section here for support, assistance, tips and encouragement for those who are trying.

Its not just for those who are pregnant - but for anyone and everyone who is trying to give up.

    Best wishes

On Halloween this year, it will be 2 years since I promised I would never spend another second smoking.
I quit cold turkey, allowed myself to have a crappy few days and then got on with it. I was a very heavy smoker, upwards of 40 a day, had no money, could barely breathe.
Now we all eat better, have money to go more places. I can breathe, I don't have coughing fits every morning. Love being a non smoker!

I really think that just quitting is the way to go. NRT keeps you addicted, after around 3-5 days the nicotine is pretty much gone, after a week you start to feel so much better!

I just don't feel strong enough!! I ALWAYS said that as soon as I fell pregnant that was it. Smokes would go. And it's so hard and the GULITY feeling is killing me!

Guilt is what did it for me. I fell pregnant to a staunch anti smoker. I actually never wanted to quit but he made me. I resented it for a long time but I am so glad he did now!

Im joining the quitting journey as is my dh and mum. We have just found out dh has lung cancer- he is not even 30 yet. Its looks as though they have caught it early and before it has spread thank god but its obviously scared the **** out of us all. Even after watching my nan and my mum herself go through cancer, none of us ever really took it seriously, but now.... its different for some reason.
