Had lots of cramping last night which was quite painful and then woke up to spotting this morning. Hoping it's not the end for me going to get the clinic to check my bloods.

@nvandmv - 35 'older Mother' , did you feel like saying something old like 'hold your tongue young lady'. lol. that's so not old!
@canuck28 - I hope they can tell you the sex at 17 week, im due to fly overseas for 3.5 weeks when im 17 + 1 weeks, so I'll be demanding my scan before I go so I can shop !

So I'm losing my appetite, and craving clear soup. I made a bowl of boiling water and vegetable stock the other night, it was yum (weird as I love my food) and you're all saying how hungry you are. At least my boobs still hurt or I think i'd be poas every day. I'm only 5 weeks today so I guess it too early for any 'real' symptoms.

@Cherrymum2be, sheesh, I tell ya what!! The midwife's name was Dot and she was definitely older than me, but come on! 35 is still young...... isn't it...??? I feel young and that's the main thing! haha. @Excited1 fingers crossed for you that it's nothing serious and everything is OK.

@Excited1, cramping and spotting can be completely normal. I hope the BT comes back all ok.
@ScubaGal, I've had two days where my boobs have completely stopped hurting-and I've spent the day poking the poor things to see if they're sore again! The next days they're back with a vengeance!

Thanks for all the info about scans ladies. Will call and check.

Yes I hope so too @cherrymumtobe! It's like not being able to open your Christmas presents until 3 weeks after Christmas! Lucky you can fly...my restrictions due to placenta previa don't allow me to fly right now, so its holidays next week but can't go anywhere.

That is so funny @nvandmv...yeah right older mother! I was told by FS that 35 is when my eggs start to get old and that I'd better do it all before that age...which actually influenced me to get things going for our family earlier!

So glad the my dd1 can keep herself entertained, and that dd2 falls asleep as soon as she is in the cot for her midday nap. Makes having a sneaky sleep myself so much easier when DH is away. Can't wait to be out of the fog of exhaustion that is trimester 1...
