I can't speak specifically about Brisbane (Melb girl) but I had NIPT. There are a number of companies that do it, all US based at the moment. I had the harmony test basically because it was the cheapest. Cost me $550 without finding out gender, (I think there was an extra charge if you wanted to know gender) so it's not cheap but it is 99% accurate and just involves a normal blood test so no risk to bubs. They say results take 10-14 days. We got ours in 10. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Hey @Bellydance how did you get your ticker to show the development updates? I've tried re-doing my ticker a bunch of times but it never shows up even though the box is ticked...any ideas?

Through Sullivan Nicholades Labs (for QLD), there is something called the verfi test... $597 which includes finding the gender... Like harmony but even more accurate I guess... Results in about the same amount of time...

The doctors sides tells you more information.

Ooh how exciting! Are you going to tell us? Are you hoping for a boy or girl or don't care? I know as long as babies are healthy nothing else matters. I would like a boy after 2 dds - more for DH but would be wrapped with another little girl too! Im 9w tomorrow and have an OB appt then too so will check in hopefully with some cute pics tomorrow x

Quick question ladies - does it matter what your HCG numbers are just that they are doubling? I am on a fb page that ladies have massive hcg numbers (One lady at 5w3d has 31000) my levels are increasing from 126 to 1721 (6 days) to 6275 (3 days) and I will test again tomorrow and I will be 6w tomorrow so my doubling is 30 hours and 40 hours but my numbers seem relatively low...
