@ScubaGal, I wonder all the time...what is the future for our children?! But surely some of our parents would have had similar thoughts back then too?

Yeah that's true. I guess the mummy worrying and protective instinct starts early!

@ScubaGal, yep put me down for overheating at night. My husband says that he is cold, but I am roasting most nights and have to kick the sheets back and stick my legs out! Not fun, and doesn't help with trying to get decent sleep either! I have had a couple of odd dreams. One yucky one where I dreamt that I took another POAS and it came back negative. Silly, but not nice! Also, I have realised there is just no pleasing pregnant women! I generally feel like rubbish from the time I get up until the time I go to bed (no vomiting but feel really nauseated like I want to vomit). This morning I felt like rubbish, but now I don't feel too bad and immediately I worry!! sheesh!! I think I should just feel greatful for the periods of time I feel slightly human again!! On the private re public hospital topic that was brought up before, we're going public hospital (even though we have private health insurance) only because there is no private hospital where we live. The closest private hospital that delivers babies is over 2 hours away.

I got a HB at 6w2d just last week - I thought it would be too early. Now can't wait until our next scan

Hi @HavingitAll have you just joined bubhub? I don't think I've seen you in any of the other threads, congrats on your first scan. Do you want to tell us a bit about yourself and your IVF journey?

    Yes, just joined today.

    This is our 3rd IVF:

1: missed miscarriage at 8 weeks
    2: BFN
3: now at 7 weeks, nauseous and nervous and still taking oestrogen and progesterone

Does anyone know about non-invasive prenatal testing in Brisbane, Queensland? My GP knows nothing.

Welcome aboard @HavingitAll great to have you with us. Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I think there are a couple of brisbanites on this thread who might know about NIPT in QLD.

Hi @HavingitAll Congratulations on your pregnancy.
I can't speak specifically about Brisbane (Melb girl) but I had NIPT. There are a number of companies that do it, all US based at the moment. I had the harmony test basically because it was the cheapest. Cost me $550 without finding out gender, (I think there was an extra charge if you wanted to know gender) so it's not cheap but it is 99% accurate and just involves a normal blood test so no risk to bubs. They say results take 10-14 days. We got ours in 10. Let me know if you have any other questions.
