Thank you @nvanmv. I'm really doing my head in. I guess I'm close to that 6 week mark. And I hope that it's just evening out. ?!?

Hey ladies, had our scan yesterday. All appears well with baby bean & heartbeat was 140. I didn't feel the 'ahhh' moment I thought I would. I think it's because in my head 'no one can be so lucky to conceive on just the first IVF attempt' so it still feels like an outer-body experience. Has anyone else felt this? I was disappointed in my reaction. Stoked none-the-less though

@BabyOB Great news on the scan going well for you. I didn't really feel an 'ahhh' moment either, I was just super relieved that there was a baby and a heart beat there. I think I went 'woohoo!' Before the scan I had tissues in my bag ready as I thought I would be burst in to tears, but I didn't. My DH got teary and had to suck it back, so sweet!! I can't relate to being lucky enough to have a BFP on the first go of IVF, as this was our 6th go, but I can definitely relate to not really believing that we can be so lucky! I'm sure in time it will sink in!

You described exactly how I felt after our scan at 6w4d. I really think it has to do with not believing it's real, like you said. We have our first OB appt next Tuesday and apparently he'll do a scan then too so will be interesting to see my reaction.

I'm learning about being a bit of a passenger in this pregnancy process. Like just be passive to all the changes and all the feelings / emotions.
Doesn't always work hehe but defo helps some times to lose that "is this normal" feeling. I find I can be quite obsessive otherwise.

Anyone else get a head cold along with their BFP? I think I'll have to get out the Vicks vaporub.
