I don't hate it. I think @anewme summed it up very well. It can be great but it can suck too. Like everything in life I guess.
I've even been honest with my oldest and told her that some days being home with kids stinks. I always talk about the positives but I'm not going to lie.
Fine i'll edit. Ffs
Sorry op, you lost me when you started referring to other parents as 'deadbeats'.

I'm about to go on my second lot of mat leave in 2 weeks time and whilst I'm excited to finish up a job I hate, I do know I will eventually miss those 3 days of me being able to be me, have adult conversations, be mentally stimulated, have leisurely lunches with friends and colleagues.
I have absolutely no idea how Ill cope being at home for 11 months, so hats off to you and other SAHMs, I couldn't personally cope.
I also work in marketing and there is always a need for well priced, talented copywriters to write brochure text, website text, press releases etc. Perhaps you could put all 3 kids in occasional care for 2 afternoons a week and dedicate that to freelance copywriting. Its the equivalent of just 1 day in care, but you get that time to do something you're great at, use your brain and bring in a little cash as well. It will keep your skills up so when your kids are all at school, you still would have had your foot in the workplace and you can start a new career when the time is right...? Just a suggestion.
