    No reason given, I received a 90 day no grounds termination in the mail today.....I'm sure that had nothing to do with me requesting that they come back at the appointed time, just a massive coincidence I'm sure *sarcasm*.

    I am so so furious!

    WTH? That's so rude. You are better off moving on and not having this stress. Write a letter of complaint to the owner if the business and find a new place.

    I got a little bit complacent, and did not contact anyone about what happened in regards to the inspection, I certainly will be now though. I am also going to make a formal complaint about the property manager.

    We have decided that we will move anyhow, as this place is a tad too small for us and we've been discussing it for a little while, but just the whole situation really makes me so so angry.

    Anyone know how a 90 day no grounds termination works? Will that put a bad mark on rental history? How much notice do I have to give to leave sooner? I've read somewhere that no notice is required- does that mean I can literally just hand the keys in and say I've moved with no notice at all?

    I think if you are on a periodic lease you can just leave and stop paying rent anytime once they have given you termination... however if you are on a fixed lease you are responsible to pay rent until the end of the lease.

    It won't make a bad mark but if your RE want to be arses they might be give you a bad reference when you start applying for other places. Unfortunately there is not much you can do about that.
    I imagine you will still have a period of notice you will need to give so definitely suss that out with the RTA.
    Good luck with everything. It's an incredibly stressful situation to be in.

    I'll have to look into that. I'm on a periodic lease. The vengeful part of myself wants to find somewhere else, move as soon as I'm able to, and literally give them no notice at all. Lol

    Same same .. They will loose money just in turn around alone. Be very careful with your bond and be present for the final inspection. I bet they try to keep it.
