    Default Change to the medical expenses tax offset

    The medical expenses tax offset is being phased out.

    Financial year 2015 will be the final year to be able to claim the deduction and to do so one would have to had made a claim in 2014.

    However if you have medical expenses for disability aids, attendant care or aged care you can keep claiming as before.

    It's just all the other medical expenses that are affected.
    Getting private care for pregnancy and birth just got more expensive
