Help needed! I'm making my nephew's birthday cake and using fondant for the first time. I've cooked two mudcakes, but unfortunately, one of the cakes stuck to the bottom of the tin. So one of the cakes has an uneven bottom, and the side is partially missing. I was going to ice/fondant in the morning. Should I trim both cakes smaller, effectively Chopping off the ruined side or can I fill it in with buttercream icing? I could possibly start again if I can get to woolies super early. Thoughts?
